Central Supplies Assistant (Part-time 20 hours)

Description:Summary: Responsible for the procurement of stockroom supplies at the best price, quality and quantity. Receiving, and delivering supplies to departments and Neighborhoods. General office duties such as filing, inter-office mail and the preparation of invoice for approval.
Reports To: Director of Purchasing

Titles Supervised: None

Hours: Part-time
20 hours M-F 9AM-1PM
Duties:Essential Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for computerized and manual order placement. Maintaining and monitoring all inventory par levels and order sheets for ALL stockroom items.
2. Responsible for maintaining the Purchase Order paper trial for all items needed to process invoices i.e. packing slips, Bill-Of-Lauding. Track and expedite backorders with vendor and communicate any pertinent updates with end-users.
3. Maintaining computerized purchasing records for items shipped and
received to and from the stockroom.
4. Responsible for filling and delivering weekly Med-Surg Supplies, to all Neighborhoods and Departments.
5. Responsible for maintaining manual and computerized records and logs for all the items delivered to the Neighborhoods and Departments.
6. Responsible for keeping the stockroom clean, organized. All stockroom items will have an assigned and labeled shelf location.
7. Monitoring the safety, cleanliness and clutter on the Kuriansky Loading Dock by coordinating with the other departments that have access to the dock.
8. Assign tasks to volunteers working in the Purchasing Department.
9. General Office and other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 2-5 year of related Purchasing experience

Licensure: Valid driverís license

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to handle multiple demand and deadlines; Ability to read and communicate effectively; Ability to utilize various software packages to carry out position responsibilities.
