| Description: | Summary: (Summarize primary purpose of job function.) Coordinate the day-to-day supervision of the Medicaid, Private and Commercial and Medicare billing personnel and functions. Perform the billing function in the absence of staff.

| Duties: | Essential Responsibilities:
1. Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of the staff. Set goals and deadlines for the work to be performed. Meet with billing staff monthly on billing issues.
2. Responsible for all facets of Resident Billing functions. Review all Private Pay admissions with Admissions Department, Controller and CFO as necessary.
3. Assure the billing processes are done in an accurate and timely manner each month. Review and approve all cash receipts, revenue journals, and adjustment journals for month end closing.
4. Follow-up with accounts more than one month past due. Work closely with the Controller and CFO when necessary on collection issues. Review the Accounts Receivable Aging report each month. Prepare monthly Days in A/R report.
5. Maintain the pending and pending reserve list on a monthly basis. Keep Controller and CFO updated on the status of these accounts. Meet with Medicaid consultant every other week to review possible pending Medicaid issues.
6. Maintain the top 25 receivables listing and meet with Controller and CFO on a monthly basis.
7. Act as representative and liaison with attorneys for probate and other legal matters related to securing payment for services from clients and families.
8. Responsible for timely submission of third party reports, including State Credit Balance Report, recertification of Medicare and Medicaid, and the Quarterly State Tax report.

| Qualifications: | Minimum Qualifications:
Education High School Diploma/GED
Experience 3-5 years supervisory experience, preferably in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid Regulations required.
