| Description: | Summary: Perform diversified duties to assist the Therapeutic Recreation Department during daily programs. Reports To: Coordinator of Therapeutic Recreation

Schedule: 20 hours
Sunday 1:30am-8:00pm
Monday 5:30pm-9:00pm
Tuesday 5:30pm-8:00pm
Wednesday 5:30pm-8:00pm
Thursday 5:30pm-8:00pm
Saturday 1:30pm-4:30pm

| Duties: | Essential Responsibilities:
1. Assist in transporting Residents by wheelchair, Geri-chair or escort ambulatory Residents.
2. May prepare activity rooms, obtain and setup any equipment required for the scheduled activity.
3. Assist in distributing nourishment during recreation activities.
4. Encourage participation, interest and motivate Residents in programs.
5. Assist in Resident attendance process.
6. Maintain regular attendance.
7. The Transporter will encourage participation, interest and motivate the Residents to attend group activities.
8. The Transporter will demonstrate knowledge of wheelchair safety and will utilize wheelchairs appropriately.
9. The Transporter will exhibit professionalism and customer service in all aspects of his/her job.
10. The Transporter will participate on Resident community outings as required, demonstrating Resident safety.

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Ability to handle multiple demands; Ability to read and communicate effectively.
