| Description: | Summary: Assists in the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services department helping to promote a safe, clean, healthy environment for residents, staff and visitors.
Reports To: Director, Facilities Services and Supervisor, Environmental Services
Titles Supervised: Environmental Services Associates, Environmental Services Tech
Hours Per Week: 40 |
| Duties: | Essential Responsibilities:
1. Monitors the completion of all assigned tasks, observes work performance and reports all infractions to supervisor.
2. Interfaces with customers daily to measure satisfaction, takes action to correct customer concerns, and greets visitors cheerfully and offers assistance as needed.
3. Completes own daily tasks and any special projects assigned.
4. Distributes supplies and equipment as needed.
5. Performs inspections to monitor work performance, correct improper procedures, and ensure the highest quality standards as expected by the Jewish Home for the Elderly.
6. Trains newly hired staff in proper work procedures, safety, and in-services.
7. Assists in the selection and proper maintenance of equipment.
8. Assists in the hiring process and prepares weekly supply orders.
9. May perform the duties of an Environmental Services Associate/Tech in the absence of a staff person.
10. Other related duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities or Supervisor of Environmental Services

| Qualifications: | Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Experience: 1-2 years (requires completion of training schedule)
Licensure: None
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Good communicator, with proven ability to direct, guide people and foster teamwork. Must be able to read and have knowledge of products, equipment and procedures used in environmental service operations.
